Rusty crit.

Ok, I wanted to just have a little post about todays crit really. A lot was said, and I felt that it was quite grilling to the bone with our concept. I think, although the whole experience/show of restrictive emotion is a good idea for us to work around, but we still need to keep in mind what we originally wanted out of this. Beautiful, experimental garments.

We can still go with that idea of course, I just feel like if we go back and remember what our original idea was , we won't get lost in a concept people won't understand as much as us. But yeah, we'd still do the same, but use it as a bonus thought rather than what our collections completely about. Does that make sense?

Anyway, so I got designing tonight, I've done one which I love, but might need some developing. AND as you want to see, I shall show you. Because I'm THAT nice.

Not the one on the right, just the left. I looked at the pressure points of a panic attack, and thought if it was COMPLETELY corseted with wire weaved patches in the pocket/glove things and the shoulder/mask was like covered in rope and the white part would be our print? The lines would be sewn, so each line has a bone in it. SUPER restrictive.

What you thinking Emzz?

Idea?

Hello Emily my dear.

Just a little post, I've just watched your LFW vid ( which is fabbbbbb) and I reckon that we should start filming each other working on this fmp. Then we can make a whole film from start to finish. Then we'd have great stills and that too. I mean I have a toy phone without filming vacilities but I could bring in my camera and if we both film we could have loads of different footage to play around with. What do you think?

Let me know sweet cheeks! :)

Just a little reminder my dear.

Our aim...
To have all the pages we have started completely up to date, annotation etc by Tuesday. Then we can completely move on, and develop upon the ideas evident and create some awesome designs.

Next week, I know we only have three days in college but I think we need to do some serious sampling. Especially print.

Also I'm going to try and bring around ten designs which are completely new ideas, even if they're like completely out there, because my designs are becoming a little predictable, and thats NEVER good! So yeah, because I know that you know I want to use that one design, but I need new ideas for the second I think.

AND we need desperately to get that colour scheme we created off Shannies' computer don't we. We must remember before Easter!

Ohh, and bibliography you! :)

I think thats all...

Let me know if I missed anything.

Not another project proposel - More of a 'Proposel Upgrade'.

JESSICA!
I think that in order to feel like we have tackled this project fully and got the best that we can out of it, we have to aim higher then just creating beautiful and intresting designs. I want to create an atmosphere or an emotion. I want to (for some unknown reason) make our models feel not only restricted, but uncomfortable and maybe even afraid. I want this project to show that we can do more thanjust design great pieces but completly change how someone feels when wearing them. I want to get a positive reaction out of creating something negative. I think it would be amazing if we asked the models how they felt after and the reaction was something like " Oh my god, I thought I was going to fall over" or "I just felt so trapped, I want to get out of it".    Sick - I know, but quite amazing right?

Let me know what you think :)

In regards to the music post - I think it could work, but I've said that about almost every song we've presented to each other. I think we're gonna have to wait until the collection is done before we make any final decisions (obviously). But yes, I do like it :). Maybe we could do some crazy medley if we find it hard to choose.

In regards to your money making post - I will get clicking but I'm not buying anything so I doubt that it will help any. We should definatly try and get that going on here and maybe start boosting up our followers:) Get the header picture sorted? maybe...

That's all for now babe.

Song?

Another option my dear...

Emz...

A post about nothing fashion, nothing design, nothing relevant to the purpose of this blog.

I have now set up my blog to make money from advertising! Apparently everytime someone clicks on the ad I get a section of the money every month. Something like that. So..... we need to get it working on this bad boy me thinks.

Song?

Right Emily... I've got a song which I reckon would be pretty good as our catwalk tune. It's completely NOT what we were sort of going for, and you might hate it and not see where I'm coming from at all. But just listen and see. It's Florence and the machine, but one which isn't even on the album so it's not well known, a cover of 'addicted to love'. So that could tie in with the bondage influences ( being addicted to 'love') and actual addiction restrictions... and yeah.. I think it could be a wicked contrast on how uncomfortable looking and well, restrictive our collection is going to be. Plus, it takes a while to realise what song it is.

Ohhhhh just tell me what you think. :)

COUGH. I feel so rubbish :(

Note for you.

Emily Dear..

Would you be able to tell me what the name of the song you found for our show is? I'm having terrible troubles trying to find the bugger.
